Pro Baseball: Ross Allen Seaton, Corpus Christi Hooks
Ross Allen Seaton pitched seven innings, striking out seven and allowing two earned runs Thursday in the Corpus Christi Hooks's 3-2 loss at the Frisco Rough Riders. Seaton graduated from Second Baptist High School.
Seaton is a 2008 graduate of Second Baptist High School and a third-round selection (109th overall) in the 2008 Major League Baseball draft by the Houston Astros. He began his pro career in 2008 pitching in three games for Greenville Houston's rookie team in the Appalachian League. Seaton posted a 13.50 ERA in four innings. He spent 2010 with Lancaster of the California League (advanced single-A) making 28 starts and logging a 6-13 mark with a 6.64 ERA. Seaton was born Sept. 18 1989 in Sugar Land.
