Women's Volleyball: Lauren Williams, Stanford University

Lauren Williams played three sets in Stanford University's 3-0 victory over USC on Friday. Williams delivered six kills in 15 attack attempts. She also had two attack errors. The 2007 Houston Stratford graduate recorded three digs and one block assist.

Lauren Elaine Williams was born on Oct. 10, 1988. She is the daughter of Craig and Shirley. Williams was a 2007 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection and earned all-state honors as a senior at Stratford High in Houston, Texas under coach Becky Palermo. She was named to the Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston Area first team in her senior season as well as being named as the best blocker and also earned all-district first team honors in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Lauren was named best attacker at the 2007 Kingwood Tournament and played club volleyball for Texas Elite and Texas Tornados under coach and four-time Olympian Tara Cross-Battle. Read more...
