The Forum feels like home for memory-care residents
Finding the right care options for her mother with Alzheimer’s was important to Frances Alexander. The memory-support unit at The Forum at Memorial Woods has provided Alexander’s mother, Frances O’Leary, a comfortable, homelike setting where she enjoys engaging opportunities.
“The location of The Forum is convenient, but it is the helpful staff and the programs that make it great,” Alexander said.
She reports that The Forum especially supports good transitions for its residents. Alexander and a friend decorated O’Leary’s room before she moved in, adding many of her things from home.
“Her room had a familiar, homey feel and mother took comfort in that,” Alexander said.
The trips, outings and activities for the residents of The Forum’s memory-care neighborhood are a bonus.
“Mother was a member of the garden club, so she enjoys and takes pride in flower arranging at The Forum,” Alexander said.
Alexander praised the memory-care staff at The Forum at Memorial Woods.
“The staff are so patient, and they have a great rapport with the residents,” Alexander said.
