Suit claims neon signs stolen by other business
A group of businesses filed a suit against the owners of their building for the removal of business property after building maintenance.
Campus Investments Inc. and 24 Hour News & Video Emporium Inc. had neon signs and canopies removed from their shared building at 10861 Katy Freeway in Memorial by maintenance workers contracted by the building’s owners.
The defendants, Phoenix Investment Ltd., Tu Casa Realty,Inc., Jose Armando Valdes, and Lucia Valdes, allegedly held the plaintiff’s property for several months. The neon signs and canopies were not returned to the plaintiffs.
Campus Investments Inc. and 24 Hour News & Video Emporium Inc. are requesting damages of $66,466.74 for the neon signs and $8,849.50 for the canopies.
