Man sues Memorial company claiming discrimination
An ex-vice president is suing his former employer after being fired.
Brion Palmer filed a lawsuit on Dec. 10 in Harris County District Court against Hart Energy Publishing, alleging age discrimination and breach of contract.
Palmer, 52 years old, says that on March 2, 2010, he was fired from his vice president position when his employer, Hart Energy, located at 1616 S. Voss Road, stated untruly that he engaged in willful misconduct and behaved in ways that damaged the company’s good reputation. Palmer says he was really fired because of his age.
Palmer is seeking back pay, front pay or reinstatement, damages in excess of $200,000, court costs and attorney’s fees. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney John Sullivan.
