HS girls basketball: Katy crushes Stratford

Katy defeated Stratford in girls high school basketball on Friday.

The Tigers won the game 56-35, moving to 10-11 overall and 1-1 in district games. Megan Jackman, a senior guard, scored a game-high 14 points in the victory.

Katy will return to their District 19-5A slate against Katy Mayde Creek on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Friday’s loss dropped the Spartans to 5-13 on the season and 1-1 in district play. Hope Wiggins, a sophomore forward, scored 8 points in the defeat.

Stratford will return to District 17-4A action against Houston Spring Woods on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
