HS boys basketball preview: Taylor hosts Memorial

Memorial visits Taylor in District 19-5A hoops action on Tuesday.

Memorial beat Houston Northbrook 62-55 last Tuesday, moving to 9-9 overall and 1-0 in district play. Ryley Caton, a senior guard, scores 14.8 points per game to lead Memorial. Following the Taylor tilt, Memorial will host Katy on Friday at 7 p.m.

Katy Taylor lost to Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated 44-42 Tuesday, dropping to 8-10 on the season and 1-0 in district games. Jordan Bryan scores 14.4 points per game to Lead Taylor. After clashing with Memorial, Taylor will visit Cinco Ranch on Friday at 7 p.m.

Tuesday’s tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
