HS girls basketball preview: Stratford vs. Spring Woods

District 17-4A rivals Stratford and Spring Woods will battle it out in girls high school basketball action on Tuesday.

Stratford is 5-13 on the season and 1-1 in district play. The Spartans are coming off a 56-35 loss to Katy on Friday.

Senior LaShae Crews is leading the team with an average of 12.3 points per game.

Stratford will next host Magnolia West on Friday at 6 p.m.

Spring Woods is 6-10 on the season and 1-2 in district play. The team is coming off a 76-49 loss Brenham in its last game.

The Tigers are led by senior Desiree Robinson, who is averaging 7.1 points per game.

Spring Woods will next visit Klein Oak on Friday at 7 p.m.

Tuesday’s tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
