HS girls basketball: Westside defeats Madison
It was a close battle between Westside and Madison in District 20-5A high school girls basketball action on Tuesday, as the Wolves defeated the Trojans by a score of 46-42.
The lead changed each quarter with Westside holding a two-point advantage entering the final quarter, but they played well enough to hang on for the win.
With the win, Westside is now 12-4 on the season and 3-0 in district play.
Junior Tiffany Davis paced the Wolves with a team-high 15 points.
Westside will next visit Sam Houston on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Madison fell to 10-5 on the season and 1-1 in district play.
Senior guard LaPorche Moore scored 17 points for the Trojans in the loss.
Madison will next visit Bellaire on Friday at 6 p.m.
