HS girls basketball preview: Northland Christian vs. Second Baptist
TAPPS 4-4A rivals Northland Christian and Second Baptist will meet in girls high school basketball action on Friday.
Northland Christian is 2-3 on the season, coming off a 56-20 loss to Episcopal on Tuesday.
Sophomore guard Arnelle Pender leads the Cougars with an average of 17.4 points per game.
The Cougars will next host Awty International on Friday, Jan. 14 at 6 p.m.
Second Baptist is 15-6 on the season. The Fighting Eagles are coming off a 45-43 loss to Episcopal in its last game.
Junior Taylor Barnett is averaging 18.7 points per game to lead her team.
The Fighting Eagles will next host Lutheran South on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Friday’s tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
