HS boys basketball preview: St. Andrew's Episcopal vs. Kinkaid

District SPC South rivals St. Andrew's Episcopal and Kinkaid will battle in boys high school basketball action on Saturday.

Austin St. Andrew's Episcopal is 0-1 on the season. The team is coming off a 58-51 loss to Fredericksburg at the Fredericksburg Tournament held on Dec. 28.

St. Andrew's Episcopal will next host Episcopal on Friday at 6:45 p.m.

Kinkaid is is 4-7 on the season and 0-1 in district play. The Falcons are coming off an 87-51 win over Lutheran North in its last game.

Mavin Saunders is having a nice freshman year, averaging 21.6 points per contest to lead the team in scoring.

Kinkaid will next St. Thomas on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Saturday’s tip-off is slated for 12:30 p.m.
