HS girls basketball preview: Lutheran South vs. Second Baptist

District TAPPS 4-4A rivals Lutheran South and Second Baptist will meet in girls high school basketball action on Tuesday.

Lutheran South is 2-4 on the season and 0-2 in district play. The team is coming off an 81-14 blowout loss to Westbury Christian on Friday.   

Junior forward Erin Shireman is averaging 15.8 points a game to lead her team in scoring.

Lutheran South will next visit Tomball Concordia Lutheran on Friday, Jan. 21 at 6 p.m.

Second Baptist is 15-7 on the season, coming off a 56-41 loss to Episcopal on Thursday.

Junior Taylor Barnett leads the team in scoring with an average of 18.2 points per game.

Second Baptist will visit Westbury Christian on Friday at 6 p.m.

Tuesday’s tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
