HS girls basketball preview: St. Pius X v. St. Agnes

District TAPPS 3-5A rivals St. Pius X and St. Agnes will meet in girls high school basketball action on Saturday.

St. Pius X is 21-2 on the season and 2-0 in district play. The Panthers are coming off a 69-16 win over Duchesne on Wednesday.

Senior Danielle Parks leads the team in scoring with an average of 14.2 points per game.
 
The Panthers will next host St. John’s on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

St. Agnes is 3-5 on the season. The Tigers are coming off a 49-17 loss to Westbury Christian on Saturday.

Kellie Pressler is averaging 13.1 points per game to lead the team in scoring.

The Tigers will next visit Kelly Catholic on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday’s tip-off is slated for 3 p.m.
