HS girls basketball: Westbury Christian defeats Second Baptist
Westbury Christian trounced Second Baptist 87-43 in District TAPPS 4-4A high school girls basketball action on Friday.
Outscoring its opponent 32-7 in the second quarter, Westbury Christian was in control early and won the game easily.
Westbury Christian is now 24-1 on the season and 3-0 in district play.
Freshman Brianna Turner had a big game with 27 points in the victory.
Westbury Christian will next visit Emery/Weiner on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
With the loss, Second Baptist falls to 17-8 and 2-1 in district play.
Junior Taylor Barnett scored 20 points for the losing team.
Second Baptist will next visit Lutheran North on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
