HS girls basketball preview: Second Baptist v. Lutheran North

District TAPPS 4-4A rivals Second Baptist and Lutheran North will battle in girls high school basketball action on Tuesday.

Second Baptist is 17-8 on the season and 2-1 in district play. The Fighting Eagles are coming off a 87-43 loss to Westbury Christian on Friday.

Junior Taylor Barnett is averaging 18.9 points per game to lead her team in scoring.

The Fighting Eagles will next host Emery/Weiner on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Lutheran North is 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in district play. The Lions are coming off a 72-22 loss to Westbury Christian on Tuesday.

Britini Marburger leads the team in scoring with an average of 11 points per game.

The Lions will next visit Northland Christian on Friday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.

Tuesday’s tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
