HS girls basketball: Montgomery crushes Stratford
Montgomery more than doubled up Stratford 57-28 in District 17-4A high school girls basketball action on Tuesday.
The game was tied at 11 after the first quarter but then Montgomery outscored Stratford 16-3 in the second to take a commanding lead.
The win brings Montgomery to 17-3 on the season and 7-1 in district play.
Leslie Coupe scored a game-high 16 points in the victory.
Montgomery will next host Magnolia West on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
With the loss, Stratford falls to 8-15 on the season and 4-3 in district play.
LaShae Crews scored 9 points in the loss.
Stratford will next visit Northbrook on Friday at 6 p.m.
