HS girls basketball: Westside falls to Bellaire
Westside lost to Bellaire 47-40 in District 20-5A high school girls basketball action on Tuesday.
The game went back and forth but Bellaire had a strong third quarter to take the win.
The win brings Bellaire to 15-6 on the season and 7-0 in district play.
Sophomore A.J. Alix scored a game-high 19 points in the victory.
Bellaire will next visit Milby on Saturday at 10 a.m.
With the loss, Westside falls to 15-5 on the season and 6-1 in district play.
The scoring was passed around for the team with Rachel Cumbo, Tiffany Davis and Jamiyla Deboise all contributing eight points.
Westside will next host Westbury on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
