HS girls basketball: Westside defeats Westbury

Westside destroyed Westbury 105-29 in District 20-5A high school girls basketball action on Friday.

Things were over quickly for Westbury, as it fell behind 30-10 in the first quarter.

The win ups Westside to 16-5 on the season and 7-1 in district play.

Erin Luton scored a game-high 23 points for the winning side. Rachel Cumbo also added in 22.

Westside will next host Lamar on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

The loss drops Westbury to 12-9 on the season and 4-4 in district play.

Annisia Robinson registered nine points in the loss.

Westbury will next visit Bellaire on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
