HS girls basketball preview: Memorial vs. Cinco Ranch
Memorial will battle Cinco Ranch in girls basketball action on Tuesday.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. at Katy.
"Cinco has four girls who are 6-feet, 1-inch tall, Memorial coach Jyusef Larry said. "We have none of those types of players, but if we truly commit to finishing defensive possessions and we work on offense to get high quality shots, it should give us a chance in the fourth quarter."
Memorial is 13-13 on the year and 6-2 in district. On Friday, Mustangs lost to Mayde Creek, 57-54, as Ellen Anderson scored 23 points.
Cinco Ranch has 19-12 record on the season and is 8-1 in district play. On Friday, Cougars beat Seven Lakes, 45-38, as Megan Palmer scored 19 points.
After Tuesday games, Cinco Ranch will play at Taylor on Tuesday.
The next game for Memorial is against Taylor on Friday.
