HS boys basketball: Stratford drops one to Magnolia

Magnolia defeated Stratford in District 17-4A hoops action on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs won the game 59-56, moving to 19-7 overall and 5-3 in district play. Jarard Hood, a senior scored a game-high 23 points in the victory.

Magnolia will visit Magnolia West on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday’s loss dropped the Spartans to 13-12 on the year and 6-2 in district games. Todd Silas, a senior forward, scored a team-high 14 points in the defeat.

Stratford will host Magnolia West on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
