HS boys basketball preview: Second Baptist vs. Pope John XXIII

Pope John XXIII will battle Second Baptist in boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Pope John XXIII.    

Pope John XXIII has a 12-11 record on the season and is 3-4 in district play. Last Tuesday, Pope John XXIII lost to Lutheran South, 67-64, as Aarron Murray scored 30 points.

Second Baptist is 15-10 on the year and 4-1 in district. On Friday, Second Baptist beat Concordia Lutheran, 56-44, as LJ Rose scored 22 points.

After Tuesday’s game, Pope John XXIII next plays Emery/Weiner on Thursday.

Second Baptist next plays Fort Bend Baptist on Thursday.
