HS girls basketball preview: Second Baptist vs. Pope John XXIII

Pope John XXIII will battle Second Baptist in girls basketball action on Tuesday.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Second Baptist.    

Pope John XXIII has a 3-15 record on the season and is 1-6 in district play. On Friday, Pope John XXIII lost to Westbury Christian, 89-26, as Stephanie Mathiesen scored 12 points.

Second Baptist is 21-9 on the year and 5-2 in district. On Friday, Second Baptist lost to Concordia Lutheran, 50-39, as Maddie Peveto scored 17 points.

After Tuesday’s game, Pope John XXIII next plays Emery/Weiner on Thursday.

Second Baptist next plays Fort Bend Baptist on Thursday.
