Liquor store gets perfect score in Harris County inspection
The food preparation facilities at a local liquor store have received a perfect score from Harris County food inspectors.
The regular inspection took place at Spec's Liquors, 8416 Katy Freeway, on Feb. 2. The report on the visit says that the store received zero demerits.
The perfect score represents an improvement for Spec's, which had to be inspected three times in March 2010 to eliminate a "cold hold" violation (meaning that food that needed to stay cool was held over 41 degrees Fahrenheit for more than four hours). But, the store also received a perfect score in September 2010.
