Memorial grad Koby Clemens is the difference maker in RedHawks win

Memorial High School graduate Koby Clemens went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI Wednesday, as the Oklahoma City Redhawks beat the Albuquerque Isotopes, 2-1.

Clemens, a first baseman, is batting .239 on the season with 31 RBIs and seven home runs.

The son of former Major League all-star and Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens, he is a 2005 graduate of Memorial High School and an eighth-round (254th overall) selection of his hometown Houston Astros in the 2005 Major League Baseball draft.

In 2009, Clemens was named California League all-star catcher, high-A all-star DH and the Astros' minor league player of the year after hitting .345 with 45 doubles, six triples, 22 home runs and 121 RBIs for Lancaster. Clemens was born Dec. 4, 1986, in Houston.
