Memorial restaurant named in slip-and-fall lawsuit
A Harris County man is suing a Memorial restaurant after he allegedly slipped on a wet floor and hurt himself.
Don "Chuck" Lafon filed the lawsuit June 20 in Harris County District Court against Cafe Express.
Lafon says he was a customer of the Woodway Drive restaurant in December 2010 when he walked around the relish station and slipped on a liquid on the floor.
Lafon accuses Cafe Express of negligence for allegedly failing to clean up the spill and failing to warn customers it was there. He is asking for an unspecified amount of money in damages for medical bills and court costs.
Lafon is represented by attorney Jane S. Leger, of Beaumont. They ask for a jury trial.
