Memorial HS grad Graham Godfrey moves to 10-2 on the season for Sacramento

Memorial High School graduate Graham Godfrey struck out eight batters and earned the win for the Sacramento River Cats, 12-4, Sunday.

Godfrey is now 10-2 with an ERA of 2.64.

Godfrey is a 2003 graduate of Memorial High School. He played baseball for the College of Charleston, where as a junior (2006) he went 8-2 with a 3.57 ERA in 16 games (15 starts) striking out 101 in 98.1 innings.

Godfrey was drafted in the 34th round (1,020th overall) of the 2006 Major League Baseball draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. He was born Aug. 9, 1984, in Tampa, Fla.
