Houston Christian HS grad Nini Leyja blasts home run to power Bees to victory
Nino Leyja
Houston Christian High School graduate Nino Leyja hit his third home run of the year, a solo-shot, as the Burlington Bees defeated Quad Cities, 5-2, Friday.
Leyja is a 2008 graduate of Houston Christian High School and was picked by the Oakland Athletics in the 15th round (454th overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft.
He was born Oct. 2, 1990, in Houston.
