Cross country: Kinkaid makes run to top
The Kinkaid girls cross country team looks ready to regain its place on top of the Southwest Preparatory Conference. The Falcons might have their most talented team since winning three straight SPC titles from 2005-07. "The team chemistry is just outstanding and so is the work ethic," Mitchell said. The same applies to sophomore Julia Camp, a club soccer player who has evolved into a solid distance runner. Rounding out the team are seniors Caroline Friend and Kate McMillan, junior Anna Boerwinkle and sophomore Brenda Ruiz Among the group, Friend was the top finisher in 29th place in 13:47.88.
