Stratford High alumnus leads Stanford volleyball team to victory
Lauren Williams played all three sets in helping Stanford University to a three-game sweep over USC in volleyball action on Friday.
A 2007 graduate of Stratford High, Williams recorded three digs, six kills and 15 attacks in the victory.
Williams was a 2007 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 selection and earned all-state honors as a senior in high school under coach Becky Palermo. She was named to the Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston Area first team in her senior season, was named as the best blocker and also earned all-district first team honors in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.
She is the daughter of Craig and Shirley Williams.
