Wildlife Center of Texas offers help for animals affected by severe weather
The Wildlife Center of Texas is preparing to provide care for any wildlife damaged by the severe weather conditions in Houston and the surrounding areas.
The Wildlife Center is anticipating the local baby squirrel population to be the most affected by the weather.
Baby squirrels are at risk of being blown out of their nests by strong winds and left injured and uncared for on the ground.
Persons who find injured or orphaned wildlife are urged to bring the animals into the Wildlife Center of Texas, located at 7007 Katy Road in Houston.
The organization is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
