Eagle's Trace residents partner with Operation Paperback
Residents of Eagles Trace are working with Operation Paperback to provide books to troops stationed overseas.
Eagles Trace, a retirement community in Houston, heard about an opportunity to support troops servicing overseas and took it. Donna Craig is leading efforts by the community to acquire books. In the two months the community has been active, 22 boxes of paperbacks and DVDs/CDs have been sent.
"We are blessed that many veterans live at our community, and this is a positive outlet for the pride and patriotism felt for our brave military men and women," Craig said in a press release. "This strong bond has led to wonderful generosity."
Craig and Operation Paperback have received letters from troops thanking them for the books. The program expects to continue providing troops with a morale boost.
