Doctors Express Urgent Care Center opens to the public on Feb. 11

Doctors Express Urgent Care Center will be holding an Open House on Sat. Feb. 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. The urgent care center is located at 14629 Memorial Drive in the Dairy Ashford Shopping center on the corner of Memorial Drive and Dairy Ashford Road, next to Kwik Kopy.  Free blood pressure readings will be done for the community and light refreshments will be served.

Doctors Express Urgent Care Center is allowing the community to tour the center and learn about the medical services offered. Those in attendance will learn the difference between Doctors Express and other urgent care centers and understand that licensed physicians are on-site seven days per week and after hours.  The physicians are assisted by a team of professional staff and they are aided by an on-site lab and digital x-ray unit to provide quick lab results while the patients wait.

"You can't determine when you get sick but you can determine when you get better," H. Elaine Rodney, of Doctors Express Urgent Care Center, said.

No appointments are necessary at Doctors Express and they provide late and weekend hours, which is important for people that work during the day and would otherwise have to take time out of work to be seen by a doctor. They see children and adults of all ages, accept most insurance and provide occupational health services for employees and employers. 

In addition to the benefits that Doctors Express Urgent Care Center offers over other urgent care centers, the clinic is provides is less costly and provides quicker care than emergency rooms.
