Woman sues Memorial Macys in trip-and-fall case
Macy’s is being sued over claims it failed to offer a safe shopping environment at its Memorial-area location.
Karen Meacham filed a premises liability lawsuit on Feb. 1 in Harris County District Court against Macy’s Inc. and store manager Roxanna Evans.
Meacham says on Sept. 2, she was injured while shopping at Macy’s, located in the Galleria Mall. According to the brief, she tripped and fell over a display left lying in the middle of a walkway.
Meacham is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Stephen Carrigan.
