Spring Branch salon blamed for burned scalp

A client is suing a Spring Branch salon after, she says, a stylist burned her scalp.

Argentina Rodriguez filed a lawsuit on Feb. 6 in Harris County District Court against Min Kim Nguyen and Xcess Salon, in Spring Branch, citing negligence.

Rodriguez says on April 10, 2010, she suffered chemical burns to her scalp while getting her hair colored at Xcess Salon, located at 3006 Blalock in Spring Branch. When Rodriguez initially complained about her burning scalp, the stylist told her not to worry and to wait five more minutes, according to the brief.

After her hair was rinsed, blood noticeably seeped from the burned areas, the suit alleges.

Rodriguez is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Joseph Corteguera.
