Homeowners sue Memorial contractor over drywall install
A Memorial contractor is being sued over claims he improperly installed drywall in a Bellaire home.
Stuart and Frida Wilson filed a lawsuit Feb. 6 in Harris County District Court against Jeremiah Magaro, of Memorial, and Chase Drywall, citing violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, breach of contract, fraud and negligence.
The Wilsons claim they hired the defendants to install drywall in their Bellaire home, but experienced numerous problems with the finished product. The Wilsons complained directly to the defendants, who refused to remedy the problem, according to the lawsuit.
The Wilsons are seeking damages, attorney's fees and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney Steven Engelhardt.
