Audubon Society seeks volunteers
The Houston Audubon Docent Guild and the Houston Audubon Society are holding a free orientation session for new volunteers from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 25 in the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary, 440 Wilchester Blvd. in West Houston.
The groups are seeking new volunteers to help with projects such as restoring habitat in sanctuaries, leading children's nature programs, helping visitors at High Island during spring migration, staffing festival and outreach booths, assisting in the office and working on fundraising projects.
