Memorial restaurant to hold speed-dating nights

Houston Jewish Singles Connection has teamed up with Kenny & Ziggy's New York Delicatessen Restaurants to host the first in a series of speed-date nights, beginning March 4 in the restaurant's Schmooze Room.

Beginning at 6 p.m. March 4, 20 men and 20 women between the ages of 20 and 39 will gather in the Schmooze Room. Following 30 minutes of mingling, during which all will be able to help themselves to a finger-food buffet, the speed dating will begin.

Each couple will meet with each other for 5 minutes. If there's chemistry between the two, they will arrange a follow-up dinner date at Kenny & Ziggy's.

Jewish singles who are 40 years and older will get their turn at 6 p.m. March 25 in the Schmooze room. There will be additional speed-dating nights in the future, and a schedule will be announced once it is available.

Kenny & Ziggy's speed date nights cost $25 per person and includes the finger-food buffet. There will also be a cash bar available. There is a limit of 20 men and 20 women. The deadline for reservations for the March 4 event is Feb. 26, and the deadline for the March 25 event is March 18.
