Second Baptist students raise funds for Living Water International
First-grade students of the Second Baptist School spent Martin Luther King, Jr. Day collecting money for Living Water International.
Students were given a free water bottle by Living Water International, a ministry dedicated to providing clean water to those in need. After drinking the water, they were encouraged to do special chores at home to earn change in their empty bottles. On Service Day at SBS, the students brought back their bottles, earning $1,520.
The donated change, along with handwritten cards made by the students, were given to Living Water International to supply children and their families with clean drinking water, according to the press release.
