Spring Valley cancer clinic blamed for patients death
A husband is suing over claims an employee at a Spring Valley cancer clinic caused the fall that eventually killed his wife.
Kenneth Adams, individually and on behalf of his deceased wife Lilly Louise Adams, filed a wrongful death lawsuit on Feb. 16 in Harris County District Court against Stanislaw R. Burzynski, M.D., doing business in Spring Valley as The Burzynski Clinic.
Adams says on Nov. 28, 2011, his wife sustained injuries that eventually led to her death while seeking cancer treatment at The Burzynski Clinic in Spring Valley. According to the brief, Lilly tripped and fell on an unlevel floor in the clinic after a receptionist denied her request for a wheelchair.
The suit alleges that after the fall, staff publically reprimanded the receptionist for not finding a wheelchair for Lily.
Adams is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Javier Marcos, Jr.
