Local high school grads face off on hardwood
Katy High School graduate Ransom Okpala and Strake Jesuit graduate Austin Brewster both contributed for Austin College Friday night in a 83-73 win over Southwestern University (Texas).
Okpala tallied 18 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals. Brewster added three points, three rebounds and an assist. Both players graduated high school in 2010.
Southwestern was boosted by Daniel Mataya, a 2010 graduate of Cypress Creek High School. The son of Tony and Janie Mataya racked up seven points, a rebound and an assist.
