Will Short believes awareness of global concerns is a responsible approach. "I think that people should understand, listen and read about the news more in depth and not just focus on minimal things that are not important in politics," he said. "There should be a greater focus on important global things. I was born in Japan. I have lived in India, England and now the U.S. I love all the cultural experiences I've had that have helped shape me. They have helped me understand the world as a whole."

Favorite class: "History. I love politics, and reading history is more fun to me than doing science or something. It's interesting when you see how politics work."
Favorite things to do after class: "Playing golf with my friends. My friends and I play golf every Friday, it's the most rockin' part of my week. I like to hang out and fish too."
Favorite book: " 'The Great Gatsby' by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It's just an amazing book. The writing is amazing. The author's word choice is different because it has a lot of different meanings to it."
Favorite music genre: "I listen to a full spectrum of music. I like all types."
Favorite TV show: "I don't really watch TV, and when I do, I usually fall asleep. So the best show I take naps to would be 'Around the Horn' or 'The Interruption.'"

Favorite movie: " 'Goodfellas' or 'Dark Knight.' 'Goodfellas' because it's roughly based on a true story, and it's a classic. 'The Dark Knight' – who can't like 'The Dark Knight?' It's just such a crazy movie."
Ambition: "I could change my mind, but as of now, restaurant management. My dad started his own business, and I grew up watching it grow. Politics is really something that inspires me. I enjoy reading it for fun and not just for school. So that would be something I will look into too."
