National Fire Insurance of Hartford, a subrogee of the UPS Store, filed a lawsuit on May 21 in Harris County District Court against Otwell Construction, citing negligence.

National Fire Insurance says on May 28, 2010, Otwell Construction repaired the roof at The UPS Store located at 5090 Richmond Ave. in Memorial. During the construction, water flooded the store, causing $95,920.97 in damages, according to the brief.

The suit alleges the flood occurred because contractors left part of the roof exposed during construction.
