St. Mark Lutheran School names salutatorian
Cameron Freeman has been named the 2012 salutatorian of her eighth-grade class at St. Mark Lutheran School.
Freeman is the daughter of Arthur and Sonia Freeman, residents of Spring Valley. She began at St. Mark in fifth grade and has now graduated second in her class.
During her time at St. Mark, Freeman has achieved academic, athletic and social excellence. She achieved high honor roll in the past four years and placed second in the seventh-grade spelling bee.
She also played on the junior and varsity volleyball teams as well as the basketball, cross-country and track teams. Freeman will participate in the AAU Girls Junior National Volleyball Championships this summer.
This fall, Freeman will attend Memorial High School.
St. Mark Lutheran School is located at 1515 Hillendahl in Houston.
