Houston Chamber Choir adds jazz twist to upcoming concert
Fans of baroque and jazz music will meet at the Houston Chamber Choir concert at St. Philip Presbyterian Church at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3.
The choir will perform several pieces by famed baroque-period composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
Because Bach was known as a highly skilled improviser, jazz pianist Paul English and his jazz trio will join the choir and create responses inspired by Bach's music in between the choir's performances.
St. Philip Presbyterian Church is located at 4808 San Felipe. The concert is sponsored by Charles Schwab & Co. Inc.
