He serves as the executive vice president, director and chief financial officer of Magnum Hunter Resources Corporation, which engages in oil and gas exploration and production, and as a director at GreenHunter Energy Inc.

He obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of California-Los Angeles. He also attended Cambridge University.
