Houston Christian alum plates three in San Jose loss
Ryan Lollis, a 2005 graduate of Houston Christian, drove in three runs but it wasn't enough as the San Jose Giants fell 11-6 to the Lancaster Jet Hawks in minor league baseball action on Friday.
Lollis went 2-5 with a run scored in the game.
He was a 20th-round selection, 601st overall, of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2005 Major League Baseball draft, but opted to play ball at the University of Missouri instead. While there, he appeared in 217 games for the Tigers, batting .309 with nine home runs and 164 RBI in his college career.
Lollis was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 37th round, 1,107th overall in 2009.
