Houston local wins Spicy Pickle sweepstakes
Houston resident Janet Woodling is headed to the World Series of Barbecue.
Woodling was named the winner of Spicy Pickle's recent World Series of Barbeque Contest Sweepstakes. She was randomly selected earlier this month from a database of hundreds of customers from eight states who entered the drawing at spicypickle.com. Her prize includes roundtrip airfare for two to Kansas City, two-nights at the Q Hotel, entrance for two days to the American Royal World Series of Barbeque on Oct. 4-7 and a $200 Visa gift card.
Houston's Spicy Pickle father-and-sons team, Peter Forastiere, Michael Forastiere and Pete Forastiere, own and operate three Spicy Pickle restaurants in Houston. The family was thrilled to learn this year's sweepstakes winner had been selected in Houston.
Spicy Pickle specializes in gourmet sandwiches, home-style soups and salads with robust flavors. Piled high with flavors from around the world, sandwich offerings at Spicy Pickle are delivered using high quality meats, artisan breads baked daily and an abundant selection of cheeses, gourmet toppings and spreads.
