Ross Seaton strikes out five in Hooks' win over San Antonio
Ross Seaton allowed five earned runs, six hits and struck out five in five innings of work for the Corpus Christi Hooks in the Hooks' 11-6 home win over the San Antonio Missions on Sunday, June 10.
A 2008 graduate of Second Baptist High School and the 109th selection in the third round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft by the Houston Astros, Seaton began his pro career in 2008 pitching in three games for Greenville, Houston's rookie team in the Appalachian League.
Seaton posted a 13.50 ERA in four innings for Greenville.
In 2010, with the advance Single-A team Lancaster of the California League, Seaton made 28 starts and posted a 6-13 mark with a 6.64 ERA.
Seaton, who is 22, was born Sept. 18, 1989, in Sugar Land.
