Memorial High School graduate Kevin Ahrens played a solid game, but Dunedin fell to Lakeland, 11-3, on Tuesday.

Ahrens, a third baseman, knocked in two runs in the loss for Dunedin.

On the year, Ahrens is batting .254, with three home runs and 30 RBIs. Ahrens is a 2007 graduate of Memorial High School and was named a first-team high school all-American left fielder as a senior (2007).

He was a first-round draft pick (16th overall) of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2007 Major League Baseball draft.

He was named the Blue Jays third-best prospect in 2008 and the sixth best in 2009, both by Baseball America. Through 2010, he was a career .239 hitter with 21 home runs and 142 RBIs. Ahrens was born April 26, 1989 in Houston.
