Village School students win Energy City competition
Two teams from The Village School swept the top titles and earned $4,000 in cash at the Energy City of the Future 2050 competition on May 18.
Two teams from the Village School took the top titles and earned $4,000 at the Energy City of the Future 2050 competition held May 18.
The school's middle and high school teams won for their scale models of energy-efficient cities of the future, which included marketing campaigns to promote their cities.
Eleven teams throughout Harris County competed in the event.
The competition, sponsored by the Consumer Energy Alliance and Houston Community College Northeast, was organized and managed by the Harris County Department of Education's Cooperative for After-School Enrichment.
